I’m still completely not against a written letter (not email). This will inform them of your services and may get them thinking about what you can do for them. Then hopefully they will call (which would be the best situation) or you will call them to set up a meeting. Then do your personal selling.

True this letter may be disposed of but its another bit of communication between you and the restaurant and I believe adds to your professionalism as opposed to directly cold calling.

A few days ago I e-mailed a restaurant called the Venitian, it is in my town. I got a response back and we schedualed a meeting this wednesday at 3 o'clock.

thankyou.. do i need that preformers insurance thing if im preforming in a restaurant or will the restaurant cover it?

It's highly recommended that you do get it, in case something goes wrong. But if you're doing card, coin, sponge, etc. work, you should be fine for a while without it.

You are NOT an employee of the restaurant. Therefore you are NOT covered by their insurance. If you caused a drink to stain some woman's dress, without insurance, YOU buy her a new dress PLUS any punitive damages the court may award her. Wiyh insurance the insuance company pays everything.
