ACR= Ambitious Card Routine

ITs a great effect, with so many way to perform it.
Just about every magician performs a version or at least knows one or is working on one.

ACR is a trick.

There is no way you can buy this trick, but you can buy the knowledge and resources for this trick.

On Born to Perform Card Magic (http://www.penguinmagic.com/product.php?ID=618), there is an ACR taught that is really good. It will give you an ACR that you can perform and hopefully get new ideas for ACRs.

I can't agree more. Daryl's Ambitious Card DVD, http://www.penguinmagic.com/specialorde ... hp?ID=4530, is THE way to go.

*Crash Course 2 by [E] is pretty good as well, but I would say get Daryl's first.

The ACR is a great trick. I love it yet it was one of the first tricks i learned. It still kicks [edited] however. The more skill and exspeirence you get the better your ACR becomes. I suggest you learn it.

It's a relativly simple trick, depending on how you perform it, but it is such a great trick.
There's a lot of variations you can do with it.
If you're into cards, I would suggest learning it.

Ambitious Card Routine is where a card is freely selected and signed, then handed back to the magician. The basic illusion is that the card is lost in the deck and then found on top of the deck several times over, but differently each time.

In my opinion, the Ambitious Card is the magician's way of "flexing" his card abilities. If you do only one card effect, make it the ACR...the greatest part of the Ambitious Card is that almost any trick that uses a signed selection can be worked into the Ambitious Card.

I would definitely buy Born to Perform Card Magic. Oz's routine is not hard to master at all...it makes a great starting point for creating your own ACR. I'd buy Hot Shot Color changes with Ben Salinas, learn a few nice changes and work those into your ACR.

My ACR features a few hot changes, card to pocket and after they think its over I do Kaos card thru window as a nice kicker ending. Yay me! lol

PS You'll need some basic knowledge about card sleights. If you do not want to learn sleight of hand with cards, then forget about this whole idea...but if you want to be able to do an amazing effect that gets great reactions and then HAND THE DECK OUT for examination (not that anyone would care to inspect it when the selected card is signed)

I think he just owned himself while calling you an idiot, lulz.

Go with Born to Perform Card Magic if you're just starting out with cards because it will teach you card basics so you can progress in skill. Get Daryl's ACR after you know the basics.
