I was thinking i would do a hummer card trick and keep it spinning or somthing to get people to come up o me what do you guys do ?
Any Sugestions?

This question sounds like you want to busk. If so get Kosmo's or Gazzo's books and study them. If, on the other hand, you're asking about "blaining" good luck.

Here's a good question for everyone to ask themselves......

Did anyone come up to David Blaine in his magic specials? No. He went up to them to show them magic.

Nobody is going to come up to you on the streets. You have to bring them to you. You have to call them over. Something visual is not going to accomplish that. You need to INVITE them to come over.

if you are doing it for complete strangers, Sometime it's kind of hard to get the attention of people, because they might find you weird, walking on the street saying " HEY! you want to see a magic trick?" I alway try to use a trick that is common sence for a situation. Like: I alway carry a TT with me where ever I go, its easy and it looks totally impromptu. Once i was at the restaurant and that lady was searching a napkin, I just made the "appearing hanky" with the TT. And I ended up doing card tricks etc.

A lot of people like the STS (self tying shoelace) some people will walk to you and say , your shoelace is untied, and then you proceed...

I dont really like Blaine style, and a lot of people try to do exactly the same then him, but obviously youre not know over the world and have a cameraman following you all the time...

I just prefer table magic, because you have a table with your props, it's more organised, and people know that you are here to do magic.

Anyway just find the style that suits you the best![/u]
