My vote goes to Greg Wilson and Micheal Ammar. Both have an easygoing style with their spectators and draw them in to what's happening. Ammar's cups and balls routine is truly amazing!

Criss Angel, David Blaine...they release some material, they are extremely talented, young, and brought magic back to popularity for a lot of people

I thought I'd bring up this older topic because it really is interesting to ponder.

I'll agree with a few others and say:

1. Michael Ammar-He's a link to the past, and is just a very classy magician. I learned from his "Easy to Master" series and he is a great teacher.

2. Paul Harris-Again, creativity out the wazoo and released one of the best series of books ever, Art of Astonishment.

3. Bill Malone-Hilarious, and very skilled, and I owe a lot to On the Loose, one of my favorite video sets.


Those are my top 3 as far as the material they've released and teaching ability. Honorable mentions go to Daryl, Simon Lovell, Ortiz, and Jeff McBride.
