one deck of cards (in san diego, not sure about other places) is now almost 4 dollars

If you want to get more magic for your money, buy a book. As for "On The Spot," it's worth the $50.

On the Spot is definitely worth the money for it. Gregory Wilson is a great teacher, and keeps you smiling. And Guardian... I get packs of cards in those nifty 12 packs at BJs for like $15

Magic is a great hobby, and I think we're encouraged to achieve success more than anyone else, mainly because we realize how much we just spent... and want to make our money back :roll:

But seriously, On the Spot is without a doubt worth your money, so save up and buy it!

And Google... you don't have On the Spot? :shock:
