Hey I have a question about doing deck switches. What do you say when you are in the middle of a routine and your next effect requires a gimmicked deck.

How do you switch the deck?

What do you say if someone asks something like,
"Ooh. Are you done?"
"How come you keep putting the deck in your pocket?"
And things like that?

You might want to pick up Front Row Sankey, he has a pretty good deck switch in there used for the effect Close Contact/Out of Sight. It's actually pretty good, and can easily be done wearing pants. Besides this, the DVD is packed full of just awesome routines/effects. I think my two favorite effects are Full Lotus (essentially Paperclipped, except with a signed card transpo), and Phoenix Effect. However, all the routines are excellent, and Jay is just so entertaining (even the explanations), that I find all my other magic DVDs extremely boring... even after only one day of owning Front Row Sankey.

Aaahhhh... I don't like Jay Sankey too much.

Maybe use an effect that calls for one card to be selected and later kept as a keepsake, put the deck away so as to not get distracted and SWITCH! you're set for your sneaky trickery.

Or use other props that require your deck goes away for the moment. I only ever use one switch, dunno how suited to your needs it is though.
