As an opener for the second routine, why not just produce the coin? Palm it, do a Wiped Clean (that's taught on the DVD, right?) and pull it from a spec's ear, clothing, the air, or anywhere else. Do a coin roll, that will catch their attention pretty quickly. Then once you're done with the one coin routine, are you just going to bring out some more from your pocket to do coins across? The coin bend is a good closer.

You're going to love Bobo's when it comes :)

Ooh. Sorry for the confusion kraynik, what I meant by One Coin Routine/Coins Across was I would do either one of the routines, not both. Some days I might feel like doing one more than the other or I will be only showing some magic to 1 person and I wouldn't be able to do the Coins Across routine because there's not enough people (at least for the In the Beginning There Were Coins version, 1 isn't enough). I don't think that doing them both would be a good idea because... isn't that a little too much coin magic?

P.S. Yes, there is a Wipe Clean sequence taught on In the Beginning There Were Coins. And I hope I do love MCM when it comes :) .

Is anyone else going to help me pick an opener for my second walk around routine?

David, that question should scare the h ell out of you. Someone trying to be a busker and has no idea of the very basics of magic.

wow geez that's scary stuff man! Some random guy that hadn't participated in the thread at all didn't know what Bobo's Modern Coin Magic is! I was gonna go watch Hostel but after reading that post, I've had enough scare for one day. Can you imagine him going out into public and not even being able to do anything with coins????? kbfell has so seriously established his plans to go and do tricks for people and then ask for money, he's right on his doorstep. And now we find out he doesn't even know the basics of coin magic --- 0H ***** MY **** G0D ****

Are you talking about me not knowing what Bobo's Modern Coin Magic is? Because I DO know. And isn't this topic getting a little off topic? What should I put in to my second routine guys?

Sneak-A-Peak, The Amazing Color Changing Card Trick!!!!

No. Don't do that trick. Seriously, don't.
Maybe 2 Card Monte. Everyone loves ACR, so maybe go with that?

For the opener of the routine, You could ask for the loan of a quarter. Then, "split" the quarter into three quarters. There's an effect just like this on Michael Ammar's Intro to Coin Magic, which you can see here.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D_DOmEaiCm4

Very basic, but a good way to open. You could even show both hands empty, show the pockets empty (really just palm a coin in each pocket as you pull them inside out) and then ask for a quarter. Split it in three.

Then do a coins across with the three quarters.

Put two coins away, and this gives you the perfect chance to steal your little something for the coin bend as a finale. Obviously you need to use a different pocket than the one you showed empty.

Google I am pretty sure he was talking about someone else. He even said the other guys name.
Did you not read any of the posts before his? As that would have explained it.
