I am in the UK, just wondered if theaters should have a license so that i could use any music i like in my shows?
can i use any recent music (like chart music), if not how do i go about using music in shows?
do i have to get a license?
how much does it cost,? if anything?
i have no idea on this plane of field so everything you know about this subject will help me

I'm not entirely sure, but I think that you have to send a Music Request/Release Form to the owners of the song that you want to use. Once again, I'm not entirely sure, but I know that you have to do this in the film industry.

Those are the PDF's for the release. If you want to know more, take a look here:

Then again, that is for film.

Best,
