Does anyone know the trick where he has a spec shuffle a brand new deck of cards, spread them on the table and select one, return it and further mix them up while David's head is turned, and he proceeds to stab the selected, face down card with a knife?

i =think= i have kinda an idea on how its done. k you know how he puts the menu on top of the cards before he stabs them i think he palmed the card while he was messing up the deck and when he grabbed the menu with the hand that had the palmed card and placed it on the table with the card underneath it and stabbed where the card should be.

this sound really bad but i couldnt find another way to explain it...

Blaine never touches or sees the cards until he sets the menu down and stab them, so that's wrong. And don't try and expose him, even if that's what you think he did.

magicpharmacist, nice copy and pasting skills. Haha, that's the exact same wording as the question I put in the general discussion blaine thread.

I was actually thinking way simpler than palming, but I would have to see it again to know if I'm right or not with what I'm thinking.

maybe this question should be in the "cards" section instead of the blaine/angel section.

I think it should be in the Most Wanted forum. There is a sticky in the blaine and angel forum saying "This is not the purpose of a most wanted forum" so.....

Don't ask the same question for a third time though.

Havent seen the blaine special in years! think i have an idea, you need the waiter in the trick, have someone next to the table or the waiter walking by to see the card, in which they get the card out of another deck and slip it under a menu, then as they walk by blaines asks for the menu

Woo Raa!

It's called a Card Stab, and there are many versions out on the market. Just search around, and you'll find a ton!

Oz does a version of this in Watch Magic called Pirate Stab. http://www.penguinmagic.com/product.php?ID=939 I have done a version of this for years, and you do not need anyone in on it.
