There is only one thing you need. Multiple illusions for under $20!

So you have a show in a month, you don't have the illusions you are going to perform, and you plan on ordering a book, waiting for it to ship, then buy the supplies, build the illusion, practice it (and if it needs an assistant, teaching them their part), and then rehearsing the actual show?

The only logical advice I can give you is to cancel the show, for these reasons:

1) There is no way you will be ready, if you don't have the show planned out already.
2) You will ruin your name in magic, and will have a lot harder time getting other gigs in your area.
3) You will ruin what ever show you're doing, because you simply aren't ready.
4) You will not have the time to actually get those illusions show worthy.

Just cancel the show, and wait for another one.

Turn the show over to an experienced professional in your area...or just tell the client to give me a call...

I can take on a show like this anytime...but only because I am prepared.

You must have a show already laid out for a sitution or event such as this. Most of what I do now IS stage shows...but when I started with smaller shows when I was younger, I still had a bigger one organized in case I ever got one booked!

He will probably be just like the kids we see in the "Kids Show" section.
Say he is fully ready, just needs a couple of effects, and how we are all wrong (like we usually are).
From the looks of it, he probably wont reply. Or when he does, it will be telling how well it went. Also about how much experience he "really" has.

I think from now on, when one of these topics comes up.
Just one of us, posts that they cancel it and why.
Nothing more; even if he replies, cries or bitches.
Just let the topic die with his reputation.
Theres no point in wasting our time on them. IF they dont listen the first time, they arent going to listen- they havent yet.

If they want more information, all they have to do is search the section.

Ive actually been doing magic for quite some time and am expirienced in close up magic. One of my clients asked me to to stage and i have done it before so i said yes, and according to most of you this probably wasnt a good idea so i wont make the mistake again. Anyway thanks for the advice ill try and cancel and attemp to prepare myself for futer stage shows.
