this essay talks about the "basic books of magic"..
well i'm pretty much covered in the card area.. i have Daryl's Encyclopedia of Card Sleights and that covers pretty much everything you would need.. or so i would think..

BUT! i want something simular for coin magic.. mentalism and so and.. with simular i mean books or DVD's that has all the basics for those areas.. just like daryl's videos had for cards..

would anyone be kind to name them? :) thank you

Daryl's set is great! I do have it and love it, but also get Royal road to card magic.

The book for coins would be Bobo's modern coin magic (it's basically the coin Bible).

I'm not sure as for mentalism, there are several sources but I don't know what the best starting point would be. Seeing as I don't do much mentalism.

Also keep one thing in mind, the second you think you know everything there is about a certain kind of magic, like cards, is the second you stop learning more. Trust me, Daryl's set only scratches the surface.

13 Steps To Mentalism is your best starting point for mentalism. I spent a year studying just that book and nothing else. Afterwards I chose not to pursue mentalism further, but I learned alot from that book that I still use ocassionally. It's the mentalism equivalent of Card College, or Modern Coin Magic.
