There was only need for them to be CGI at the end, when they were hammering the nail in. Either that, or the nail was going in a predrilled hole.

There are no camera tricks here, the nail is going into a pre made hole. But you have to admit that it is amazing either way.

Yeah. I never thought it was CGI, because what's happening is quite possible, if you have the skill down. But if you read the comments, many of them figure it's fake.

Doing it in a pre-drilled hole though makes it quite possible, as long as you have the skill. And the guy clearly did.
