Are you talking about the Coin Trick or the book Quick Change, or the genre of magic dubbed Quick Changing?

There are no copyrights on the effect.

As for material, here are some:
Monica Monro's Instant Costume Change DVD

Yasuda's The Art of Costume Changing DVD

Sven Schoppenhauer's Quick Change: Rapid Costume Changes for Men

The first two are for womens' costume changes. The book Quick Change, is exclusively for men.

I looked up the book "Quick Change: Rapid Costume Changes for Men". I could on;y find one site and it was $74.

Is there something a little.....cheaper... that covers this subject well?

Heh. The cost of the book is going to be the least of your financial worry. It isn't a cheap genre of magic unfortunately. Just imagine getting three tuxedos custom made for your act......

I've been performing a quick change costume effect in my stage shows for about the last 2 years. I go from a traditional tuxedo into an ornate Chinese outfit.

There are some methods that are easier than others, but the costuming is definitely going to cost you. In addition to that, you will also need some type of "cover" for the change, and that can get expensive as well.

But that's exactly the reason I chose this type of effect. Not many people can afford to imitate it and so, I will likely have a very unique element to my show.
