I have a juggling problem. When I practice, I practice over my couch. So, if i drop it it goes onto the couch which I can easily access, than to reach the ground and pick it up.

After I think I'm good enough to stay away from the couch, I drop the balls in a few seconds! I think this is a insecure situation. I'm insecure because I don't have something in front of me to catch the balls when dropped...Is this common?

Yes. I have a different but similar problem with visual interference. I can juggle when in front of a clean, uncluttered surface like a wall. As soon as I change locations, or something interferes with my peripheral vision, balls go flying. It could be similar to your situation. The change in location is bothering you more than the lack of a "safety net"

Try facing a blank wall. Just don't get so used to it that you have my problem. If you can juggle that way, then it's not the couch, it's you being outside your "comfort zone."

Yes! When I start to juggle in front of sunlight, the sun glare goes into the balls, and I loose control..It may sound weird but it's true!

i never had that problem, my biggest thing was that i would tosss the balls away from me and i had to walk forward really quickly to keep up with them.

That happens to most learning jugglers. If it still does that. just stand right in front of a wall while you jugle, and it will work itself out eventually.

Take a look at www.jugglingdb.com

They have some tutorials that talk about this, plus they have one of the biggest archives of juggling videos I've seen anywhere.

Thanks.

Am I the only one with that problem? Or maybe I just stink at juggling...

Nah. I don't think so...just comes in practice.

My juggling doesn't show up unless I decide to juggle my multiplying balls once 3 are produced. But it is a fun skill to learn and the basic cascade still impresses people.
