I would really like to perform an x-mas show late december. Most of my effects are no christmas related, so i was wondering if any one could give me some ideas.

Maybe wait a year or 2. Face it, you just aren't ready to do a show. Just because you know a few tricks doesn't mean that you can go out and do a show. Wait till next year.

Also, how old are you?

Get D'lites. Green or red.

That'll work.

Or, you can buy Martin Lewis's Making Magic #1 DVD and he'll teach you how to make the sketchpad rising. You can do like:

A trunk (or a base) and make the tree arise from the trunk, or base
Make ornaments come out.

Stuff like that. Be creative!

So then do it. Instead of telling us what you are thinking about doing(hoping we will approve) make your gimmicks and start practicing. You say you have enough knowledge to know what you are getting in to, yet you ask us what you should do...... Tsk Tsk.
