Hello,

I am thinking of buying a levitation for kids birthday parties that the child or birthday person is involved in. I am aware of the flying carpet and now the newer version which has the carpet revolve around like this one (see link below)

http://www.magictricks.com/stage/flycarpet.htm

however its not very good in my opinion and some of these high class rich are really looking for something really good that there kids can be involved in.

Does anyone have any other suggestions?

If you have Mark Wilson's Complete Course in Magic, he has plans for a Floating Table/Child levitation you can build for cheap.

I would suggest something like what Woody Pittman did with the Anti-gravity cloak (which is not performed in the same way as WildLev). You can use the Wild Levitation gimmick to achieve a similar effect, and it looks really cool if you do it right - especially if you can go fully horizontal.

I am looking for a levitation the birthday child (or adult) could be involved in...

I already own a great levitation that can be done surrounded. Infact I think it the best one man levitation on the planet that can be 100% 360 degree soournded right in someone living room or front yard! Click byuilders video on barstool and be BLOWN AWAY like I was!
http://www.steffansoule.com/magicshop/miscl_Items.htm

The problem with this levitation is it can't be done with like a audience member that is NOT in on the effect... SOOOOO... I am hoping that someone can STILL suggest a great Kids show birthday levitation that the birthday child is used for..

Any suggestions??

That's a tall order. It's one thing to vanish someone without them being in on it, but it's quite another to move them without their knowledge.

What kind of weight restraints are we talking?
Backdrop or no backdrop?
Surrounded or does it matter?

No wieght rstraints.

probably no backdrop.

Viewing would be from front and sides (not back)

Do you think Super X or Super X Plus?

I also know Doug Tilford has one that like Super X BUt the person floating moves side to side....

Actually, I was going to suggest a chair suspension after reading the criteria. That's pretty much the only way to go if you don't use a backdrop.

I'll say the chair suspension because it seems less "look at this giant prop I've brought out to make you levitate". The chairs seem more reasonable.
