Hey, I just became interested in performing for kids for birthday parties or other occasion, and was wondering how I would go about getting into that. Also, any suggestions for good tricks for the child audience would be appreciated.

Kristenl gave you the best advice you can get. Search through the kids forum. You will get a plethora of wonderful information that will greatly help you, as well as answer any question you may have.

You will have to do a lot of research for yourself. That's part of this business. Besides looking through the kids forum on this site, it might also be wise to pick up Seriously Silly.

He was just given some advice but instead of doing it he still wants to get the quick answers. Dude, quit worrying about what tricks to get and how to promote when you don't have anything to promote.
Take the next few months and anty up on the business. Because if you think it's your amazing magic...bombs away.
Listen and heed.
