I hear it everywhere: What's the best cup of coffee out there? Who makes the best pocket knife? What is the best pistol for concealed carry? What brand of this is the best for doing that? Which set of cups is best for stage? What's the best way to palm a card? What's the best method for this? What' the best technique for that?

Something I've been thinking about for some time now; there really isn't a best. How can you quantify BEST?
Bettery yet how to you unify BEST? You really can't. Why? Because of one fundamental thing..


We're all different.


Let that soak in... SO then it follows... What's best for me may not be best for you.

And that's ok.

Best is a matter of personal opinion especially as it relates to performance. Some of our Mentalists here I'm sure could keep a crowd mesmerized for hours with a mentalisim routine or show. Personally Mentalisim puts me to sleep. I live for sleight of hand and I'm willing to watch uncle Jethro vanish a coin 27 times in a row. Channing Pollock can keep me rapt just by blowing his nose but Cris Angel makes me dry heave. See where this is going? What I like or is "Best" for me isn't necissiarily "best" for you.

This is what it all boils down to boys and girls, there is no best. Just like there is no spoon.
