You get can LOOADS of cheap metal forks at Wal-Mart, for practicing. Strebler says thats where he gets them.

Is it a good idea to do Liquid Metal in a restuarant?

I think it would be fine... I saw a local magician do it at a restaurant (not to me), and did it very, very well. I actually think Liquid Metal would be a great effect to perform at a restaurant. At the beginning of the routine you could tell them that you would like to try something with some forks you picked up in the kitchen. This will automatically eliminate all suspect of fake forks. IMHO, of course.

I also think it would be a great trick to perform in a restaurant, but scared if the manager gets angry for bending their forks. lol. I know I wouldn't use their forks, but it would look like it...? Am i?

Just inform the manager before-hand that you will supply your own forks, and won't damage theirs in any way.

Walmart still carries the 6 for a dollar forks, and spoons, and knifes. Good stuff go get them. One warning though, they might break on you. They crack really easy.

I don't know how flexible the forks would have to be for this specific trick, but you'll definately find some cheapos at Paddy's markets.

The best ones I've found for this routine so far in Sydney are the reject shop forks (6 for $2) they're not too bad but I still reckon I could do better (Something slightly thicker but softer - it doesn't make much sense like that but I was at a friends place and he had the perfect spoon - looked like a tank but was really soft. He had no idea where it was from unfortunately)
There's a place called warehouse that apparently has good forks for the routine (see penguins only section) but I haven't tried them yet 'cause all those stores are too far away from me.
One thing I like about the reject shop forks (and spoons) is that the design is practically the same on the front and the back of the handle)

You got that right. The 6 forks I got are not the same as Morgan's, you can clearly see that. I got the only 6 for $1 ones at walmart, and they are very strong and have a thick sharp handle. I have very strong hands and fingers, and you cannot corkscrew this without it becoming distorted. I need to find "light" forks with a smaller neck, as this one is very thick.

I wonder if the ones on amazon listed as "medium" would work? These cheap forks are not labeled, and even the tines are strong. Or has anyone ordered them directly from somewhere and know that they work for sure? Of course pliers and a wrench works well, but put some marks on the fork. However the fork still does not corkscrew properly because the neck is too thick and strong.

So indeed the ones at Walmart are not Dominion, no wonder they were so hard to bend! I read that they discontinued them years ago. I could tell these forks would almost take a vice to bend. I still bent them, but it took a lot. Has anyone actually ordered them somewhere and got the perfect ones? I will have to try the Amazon ones, but hate to get stuck with 36 forks. Hopefully they work.

You sure? You got these ones I listed? I hope so. The one I have now from Walmart are so thick at the neck you can't even corkscrew them if you wanted. Man I must be strong, as the fork looks like a Z-twist. I guess I invented a new move.

I found the perfect fork for Aussies. Go to Coles, buy Coles $mart-buy forks, they are 50c each and they are awesome, I went there, bought 45 forks and am loving it!
