Notice the difference?!?!
NO BOX/CRATE !!!!
& Is standing BESIDE where person is tied/chained to!

Also, of course the metamorphosis will not change... Its METAMORPHOSIS, once person changes into the other, while the first person takes the second persons place.
WITH OUT A darn BOX!

*If i could i would get D.C's cocoon, but i dont want to copy!

HA HA HA HA HA HA !!!!!

You better watch Copperfield again kid, he has a box, it's just covered with sheets.

My goodness

Again, it's all the same method, with different window dressing.

When dbaker_creator is talking about there actually being "a box" in the Copperfield trick, he's talking about the method, not how the trick actually appears.

Note that not having a visible "crate" does not make the trick simpler. It makes it much more challenging in method. Even if you owned the props, there's something else you probably do not have access to which is required -- it isn't a prop... and it isn't something that you really could buy, per se.

Perhaps Don Drake could solve your dilemma, with his expert advice. Don, is the leading expert in his field. I'm sure Don has come up with a method, matching your description...more than once. You could try contacting him and see if he is willing to help you out.

My goodness, this is ridiculous.

Frymus, your question has been answerd by several people several times. If you don't like the answer (or more likely you just don't understand it) that's just too bad.

Like dbaker has stated, the basic technique is always the same. There is always some type of "box." If you know the basic technique, then you should work off of that.

All you're asking for is a basic metamorphosis effect but without the traditional box. So use a little creativity, and come up with something yourself.

Your question truely has been answered, you just fail to see that, More than once.

Why do you keep acting that way. Grow up.

Common sense?

Frymus,

I have to say and Caffeinator will attest to this; I am generally a defender of people looking for help. I also often try to defend those that appear to be being picked on by older and wiser folks. I believe that people need to stumble before they can walk. I have no problems with people who make mistakes. However; this is ludicrous. You don't want advice. You want the easy way and you want someone to do it for you. I see in this forum lots of people trying to help you (harsh as it may be) and then you lashing out. If you want to be taken seriously try a little harder to be nice or make sound arguments. Neither of which you have done! If you ask for help you need to take the good wiht the bad.

This dude just isn't giving up you guys. If you want an original Meta, then come up with your own. I didn't want the standard "Twister" illusion, so I came up with my own. 99% of a magician's time is spent in practice, right? So, instead of the practice..brainstorm and find out where your mind can go. Copperfield does it his way, now go and do it your own way! Without crates...btw, are you allergic to crates?? Benedryl would be your best bet.

Okay, I'm currently at a computer that has you tube blocked, so forgive me if this has been covered in one of those video's you posted.

I once did a mailbag escape with shackles and an assistant, and did it as a metamorphosis type routine. It incorporated a sheet, rod and third hand gimmick. It went over HUGE!

Just a thought.

He didn't like that idea, he wants to wrap himself in a sheet and disappear.

You don't see the box? IT's HUGE! They dance on top of it for about two minutes before the change.

This is not your standard metamorphosis. It's a hybrid of multiple techniques. Besides whatever stage hands are needed, you'll need a total of three performers on stage to do what he did. And unless you have a boatload of money, it's not for sale.

Can we end this rant now? People have offered help, right or wrong and they get yelled at for it. Any further outbursts like this will result in you not being able to post here anymore.

Last year I saw a show by REZA and it's a life changing experience. Infact I'll be seeing his show again on thursday but anyway my point is that he has a stunningly visual metamorphosis as seen here:
