Well i have smiling assassin, card toon and the brainwave deck and all my other tricks are improtue or are with just a regular deck of bikes

and because i dont handle around with card toon, or the brainwave deck much i dunno what to say / do when someone asks to see the deck?

and also what do i do when i might show someone the smiling assassin and then someone else comes up and wants to see it and you just like have to keep going on again its a pain in the [edited]

Any help guys?

And while im making a thread what magic dvd should i buy next, im into card tricks and i dont really like using gimmicked decks so i want a solid dvd that can teach me some tricks and new flourishs / slieghts

Note - I already have , Oz Pearlman - Born To Perform

Thanks

Anthony

Nice to see another magician from Sydney!

I'd suggest using most card routines among others, it'll make people less likely to want to see the deck.

Example:

You have just finished a card trick which leaves the deck not able to be looked at.

just put the deck into the box and in your pocket while talking about your next trick, as long as you are talking they usually won't interrupt you and will focus on the next trick.

I don't own the smiling assasin, but if you are in the middle of a trick and another person comes up, wanting to see it you could say something like "Great! I've got the best trick which needs two people!" or something like that, and launch into another trick.

If you like card magic I'd definately reccomend Ninja part one and two, which teach some great sleights.
Also, if you're just wanting sleights to make your own routine I would have to say that books are better value for money than DVDs, and a lot of them are just as detailed.

Hope I could help!

Please note, ninja 1 and 2 are complete crap, as are most off ellusionists products and their customer service.

Art of Astonishment series by Paul Harris. The Trilogy is prety difficult but because I don't really know your skill level I will still reccomend it. It has some tricks and flourishes.
