Goodness, sorry, I thought it was your daughter who did the belly talking!
By the way I just returned from music pilgrimages to Meridian, Mississippi, and two other places in the Deep South. What a trying week this has been to fly!
La Guardia was a welcome sight.
By the way Kylethe, I got a chuckle reading one of your threads. You just had to sneak in the banjo reference..good for you. I have a brand new five string which I've never used..actually the four string interests me more for Celtic and traditional music. I have a fine Gibson six string guitar.
Are you going to be able to make the Vent Haven convention? The teaching seminars lined up for this year are outstanding.Ron0
Yeah. I love the banjo. It is a lot of fun to play and has taken me to many places and helped me meet many people. Four strings are fun, but I love the five string more...so much more you can do with it. I only have an old Kay guitar, but my banjo collection consists of a 1981 Ome XXX, a Gibson RB-4, a Gibson Grenada, and a Gold Tone BG-250F. I almost bought a beautiful Ome 4-string from Buddy Whacther recently...I kind-of regret not followng through with the purchase.
I won't be at the Vent Haven Convention this year. I have never been...but would really like to go...I just always seem to be booked by the time it rolls around! This year, I was booked to perform in the evening show for a Magic Convention in Virginia. THe convention was just recently postponed till next year due to some unforseen and unfortunate circumstances. After recieving the phone call, I called a client that runs a summer camp for teens (who wanted some shows for that same weekend) and ended up booking the camp in the conventions old spot.
Michael (Sluggo) has invited me several times, and I hate that I haven't been able to get up there. I'll make it one of these years!
