Hey !!

I buy a rabbit and 2 dove !! I know there are a lot of stuff to do with dove... but I try to find something good to do with rabbit but I don't know.
There are nothing in penguin magic talking about magic with rabbit like a Dvd or some equipment !!

Help me !

Maybe a Dove Pan, Rabbit Pan, etc. Or a Rabbit Mirror Box.

We are currently building the Mark Wilson Alakazam hat, with a twist on the outer box. We are custom designing my daughters name into the outer box. It should be pretty cool. It is another idea. You can make one fairly inexpensively, plus you can make it to the size you need.

for the rabit you could buy a top hat, and a hat load and pull a bunny out of your hat!

As for the doves, i would use a dove pan, or get gloves to doves.

Why does it sound to me like you have bought them simply for magic/?

My longtime bunny partner passed away last friday. She has been in my show for 6 years!

She used to make her appearance from the "Abbot's Bunny Box". It was always my favorite bunny production technique...it looked so darn good!

ThHanks Kristen. She really did mean a whole lot to me. When you work with someone or something for that long, it is a touching experience to lose 'em. She died in my arms early that morning. I will miss her...she made so many kids happy.

Anyone doing magic with a rabbit might want to try a different type of animal. I used a skunk (yes a live one) instead...and the reaction is far better than any rabbit could ever get.

Sorry to hear about your loss. Animals really do become 'part of your family' and it's so tough to lose one.

I have found that animals are much too time consuming to have in a show. You must practice with them every day for a couple hours. They are difficult to travel with when you do 4 to 5 shows a day. From past experience, the payoff is not really that great for all the work that goes into it. So instead I use sweetpea the skunk which is a form of rocky raccoon. I dont have to worry about feeding it inbetween shows. No need to clean up the mess it might make in the magic trick box or whatever its in. Don't have to worry about the kids petting it too hard or trying to harm it. (kids will be kids) Sweetpea doesnt feel a thing about was a one time fee of 30 bucks. I can have sweetpea plunge into the audience. I can toss her around. I don't have to worry about anything except that she makes it back into the box when I leave.
To me it's simpler and yet it can be more creative by using a fake puppet such as rocky or sweetpea....

You said you can't figure out something to do with the rabbit...but you have something to do with the doves...

why not just purchase or build a "Doves to Rabbit" prop and after producing the doves, just turn them into the rabbit.

Animals aren't difficult to work with if you really want to work with them.

And I've never had a hard tim traveling with animals...however, I WILL NOT do 4-5 shows in one day unless I am working in a permanant setting such as a theme park or fair. The most shows I will do in one day is 3 (if they are all in separate locations.

Have the rabbit disjointed and cleaned.

Pour boiling water over it, scrape, rinse, and dry.

In a glass or pottery bowl combine the vinegar, garlic, bay leaf,
salt (optional, pepper, and 4 tablespoons of the oil.

Add the rabbit and marinate in the refrigerator for 48 hours.

Drain.

Put the bacon in a Dutch oven and cook until lightly browned.

Add the sliced onions and cook until golden.

Blend in flour and add rabbit.

Cook 10 minutes turning the pieces several times.

Add the wine, bring to a boil, and stir in the chocolate.

Cover and cook over low heat 1-1/2 hours or until tender; add
salt and pepper to taste after 1 hour.

While the rabbit is cooking, saute the white onions in the
remaining oil until golden.

Arrange the rabbit on a hot platter with the sauteed onions and
bread around it.

Serve with noodles.
