The funny thing is if one police officer took five minutes to go down to the E hq he could cost them thousands of dollars  .

It would need to be a secret service agent - as they are the folks that handle money matters.

I think that's largely why they never prosecute people for it, they have other things to do.

Protect the President vs. stop people from writing on money = ?

Considering who's in office, I wish they would stop the people writing on money...but that's another discussion entirely :P

As much as I hate getting into political debates with children, name one thing that Bush has done that was bad and give the reasons why.

Please do so via PM so we don't throw the thread off track.

You mean besides the Patriot act? Or saying that anyone that questions his policies on IRAQ is equivalent of a traitor, because they lend comfort to the enemy?

Holding people in prison without attorneys cause HE says they are terrorists? Trampling all over the Bill of Rights? Getting us involved in ANOTHER War, with no declared victory conditions, no exit strategy,...I mean.. ya I agree... nothing he did was bad.

I feel exactly the same way but I hate discussing politics over the Internet because it really is pointless because no matter how wrong these people are they will not convert to our beliefs, Its the same with Religion this is another pointless thing to debate over. I agree, I believe that Bush is a great President but I have to admit I am a huge Reagan Fan (I think he was the best President that we have ever had).

Back on topic, It may be Illegal but if it is money that I have earned then I feel that I have the right to destroy it, deface it (As long as I do not alter it and try to pass a $1.00 bill off as a $100.00 bill.) I know this may be illegal (I will have to research this myself or not because even if it is I will continue defacing money regardless).

Actually By defacing currency, you may be doing something good for the economy, since you take currency out of circulation...which is anti-inflationary.

If you burn a bill and hot air rises - couldn't you make inflation worse?

this is my personal opinion, i could be wrong but, gimmicked coin/money magic is legal. The the thing is, it is gimmicked, so you are paying more for the trick then the money is worth, so you won't spend it.

That doesn't make it legal.
If you spend $1,000,000 to rob a bank and you only steal $50 - is it still illegal?

It's illegal if the coin/bill could pass for a real one = counterfieting.
Coin shells can't since they are shells - unless you're a total idiot, you can determine the difference between a real coin and a shell.
your doing magic and the gimicked money your useing is not suppose to be noticed its suppose to be just some plain old money that is magical :!:
