Contest:
Frijid will list several non-magic related items (pieces of paper, socks, toothpaste, etc.)
Each contestant will have one opportunity to post a script for an effect using these items and these items only.
Upon Frijid's request they will be required to furnish a method via PM.
The "best effect" (which must include a feasable method), wins - Best to be determined solely by Frijid.

I have no computer video equipment and have - (hold onto your hats) - only DIAL UP access at home. I live WAAAAAAAAAAY out in the middle of nowhere on the edge of a nature preserve and cannot afford satellite high speed internet.

Reasons why I do not have high-speed access or the latest in computer equipment aside, the fact remains that I could not participate in any video-posting or related contest.

How about a contest on the most original routine using, (but not necessarily limited to), a Hot Rod?!

Obviously it can't be a routine found on the market, (such as in a book on Hot Rod use or having previously been published or sold). Hence the term, "original." The definition of "original" will, of course, be judged solely by Frijid Pink.

I just throw in little "freebies", 'cause like you said, "it's fun" and keeps 'em guessin'.

If the Winners wish to share what their Mystery Prizes are that's up to them.

I rest my case ... now aren't you glad you don't get excluded because of that ?

The contest to end all contests and get people thinking.


The contestants are to take 2 existing effects of their choice and routine them together so that

1. They make sense
2. The second effect builds on the first for a great climax
3. The routine is original in that the routine has not been published before

The routine can be either shown by video, or written out so that it is easily understood how the 2 effects go together. Judging will be based on creativity, originality, dramatic appeal or comedic appeal, and the wow factor of how the two effects come together for a great climax.

ENTRY: this contest will be about who can respond first you your post here in the contest forum.

1- You would post in the Magic forum that you will be posting the contest topic at a certain time that night.

2- right before before you post the contest topic, post a different post in the Magic forum that people have to respond to before they dash to the contest forum to post. If your name isn't in the magic topic but is in the contest topic you are disqualified. This way we know that people aren't just hanging out in the contest forum waiting for your contests to begin.

3- after a couple minutes, close the contest and see who responded first. They win!

And you can also see what time the poster posted their post because of the little time thingy right above them,


It sounds really confusing, i know. But i think it would be really fun. If you have questions about it, or didn't understand a word i said, just PM me and i'll try to explain it to you better.

I don't know how this is going to work or how you can win..but it's just a suggestion.

Frijid Pink has written a card number down (4 of hearts) and we try to guess it, just like the guessing games.

People may guess '6 of diamonds' or 'Jack of spades'

It's pretty much like guessing a number 1-208 (52 x 4 = 208) A 1/52 chance of getting it right.

BUT, it's just a suggestion.

The contestants need to guess a magical day in history.

Question- March 24, 1874
Answer- Harry Houdini was born

I vote for this!!! Please make this guy win! Or at least use the contest idea!

I have a couple of ideas:

1. Frijid will post a trick/slight either via video or description, and people will have to figure out what the trick is called, and who invented it. The trick should be extremely old/random/convoluted, so that people will have to do some serious research.

2. Rename www.penguinmagic.com. The best name (judged by Frij, and how about Maxwell and Acar?) will win.

3. Rename any trick/slight using the letters in PENGUIN MAGIC. The most creative name with least amount of repeated letters (except N, I, and G - which can be used 2X) wins.

4. Find the name of a trick/slight in the words PENGUIN MAGIC. The name with least amount of repeated letters (except N, I, and G - which can be used 2X) wins.

Mmkay.

How bout: Make a jingle for "Penguin Magic". Eh?

Yeah videos would not work, you would probably get less than 10 uploads. How about guessing a number, and whoever is "furthest away" from the written down number wins?

That would go pretty quickly!


Even if I can't win heres a couple fun ideas-

1. Frijid tells us the exact price of the prize we will win. Whoever guesses the prize wins it.

The point of this is to search through many products and possibly find something we never knew existed along the way. It will also make us twice as thankful when P 2.0 comes out and we can search by price.

Rules: If nobody can find it after six days then frijid let's us know the first letter of it and we all get a second guess!

2. Frijid lists three under used but farily common slights. Whoever constructs the best routine and patter lines (as judged by frijid) wins.

The point of this is to learn how to construct routines and practice wrighting patter.

Rules: Only the slights listed can be used.
The routine must be original.
