I got into coin magic about 4 months ago. I started off with the new modern coin magic. Over the 4 months I learnt most of the "essentials" such as classic palm, thumb palm, finger palm, a few vanishes, and some switches. I don't feel that I need a DVD but would like to have one to make sure I am doing some sleights correctly. So should I get Ammar’s dvd or Noblezada’s?
I know most people will recommend Roth’s DVDs but I'd rather something in the 25-30 dollar range.

I have both Ammar and Noblezada. Both are great. I don't have any preference. They teach the same basic sleights.

Also consider David Stone Coin Magic #1 DVD.

Was the teaching better in 1 of them? Does one go more in depth?

While I do not have anything by Noblezada, I have a LOT of material by Ammar. And i can say I have never been disappointed by Ammar.

he is a very good teacher, and magician. he has won The Gold Medal for closeup magic I believe 5 years straight. Ammar has Years of experience under his belt and it shows not just in his handling of effects, but in how he explains. Ammar is the consumate professional. Every Tape and DVD I have from him credits all effects to the best of his ability.

He credits the originator... every mage since that has had an input into the sleight, and his reasons for why he handles it as he does.

He not only teaches the method, but also the psychology, and the Misdirection for the sleight, and why it works as it does.

While I cannot say.." I have seen both, and Ammar's is better." I can say...if I only had $30 to spend I know for a fact that that $30 would not be wasted buying from Ammar.

I have seen both and Ammar's Complete Intro to Coin Magic is definately better than Noblezada - ITBTWC. But ITBTWC is also a good DVD and definately good value for money.

I would concur with the ammar DVD I mean the guy has been doing it forever. I have the DVD and it is really great, though the effects are week, the way he covers the sleights is excellent, in depth and uses lots of referenced material.

Yeah Ammar does have a lot of experience.
About the effects being weak, that isn't much of a drawback for me because I usually customize a trick to my liking.

I'm a big fan of Noblezada's teaching style. It's pretty laid back.

I have the Ammar video and it's excellent. He's a very good teacher of magic. Rachel.

You are right. He is an excellent teacher. Also his work on theory imo is worth the cost of the dvd alone.
