About 90% of the laymen I've talked to, don't believe David actually held his breath for 17 minutes or fasted for 44 days, lived in ice for 3 days, ect. I was wondering the opinion of the penguins on weather the following were real?

His breath attempt was definitely real. He breathed pure oxygen for over 20min leading up to the attempt though, so that coupled with much training allowed him to do it.

The ice stunt, that may have been an illusion. :)

He doesn't come off as the type of guy that would fake it. It all seemed real to me, but I'm not expert.

actually, on "Secrets of magic revealed" they showed how the block of ice "cam" was done...I can't say that Blaine faked it for sure, but odds are against him...

I think Frozen Alive was definitely possible. Whether or not Blaine did it, I'm positive. I read his book, so I'm leaning towards "He did it.". Just my opinion, take it or leave it.

I think 100% of us voting that it was real says a lot lol. I used to think the stunts Blaine has done were illusions, but then I realized Blaine has been trying to become like a stuntman or something, maybe like an evel knieval or however his name is spelled with bikes and jumping. I don't think the ice was faked either. The air inside was probably warm I'm sure, but idk I just doubt it was fake because it really doesn't seem too hard other than standing up for a long time without sleep as long as the air inside is somewhat warm. But Vertigo is the stunt I wonder about being faked because it would have been so easy, and that was probably the most dangerous stunt Blaine has actually done I would say, because one mistep and he was dead lol. The rest medical people could have called off at any point if they thought he was in trouble.

I think if "Ice Man" was real, then "Vertigo" was definatly real because it's basicly the same thing without the ice, and a little higher. I'm not saying it was easy. And how could you fake that, "Drown Alive", "Above the Below" or the breath hold? He's out in the open where everyone can see!

Isn't this kind of backwards?!? Usualy the laymen are a trick is real and the magicians think its rather simple.

Well the reason I would think Vertigo would be the most likely to have been faked is because if he got exhausted and lost his balance then he would be dead instantly during that stunt. But in the ice big deal if he falls over from being tired, he just hits some ice lol.

And yeah it could all be faked lol. There's always a way.

The Ice thing is real, I'm pretty much positive. My brother and I tested a similiar idea, and really, it's not too bad. Granted, we only did it for 3 hours though. But still, others have done the same stunt.

David is doing stunts others have done as well, and he even cites them as inspiration. So I'm sure he's actually doing them.

Instead of all this ongoing stunt crap, let's just see a Street Magic 2.
