What, in your opinion are the top 5 close-up tricks of all time? Gimmicked, gaffed, or otherwise. Could be a specialty trick from a dvd. Anything like that. The top 5.

The classic Cups & Balls has gotta take the number one spot ...
... then I'd say Scotch & Soda ...
... ACR ...
... (Folding) Coin in Bottle ...
... The TT

... all time tested classics and are basic staples to this day. :)

Now, are we saying actual tricks like, Sam the Bellhop? Because I agree with the TT, but it isn't an actual trick.

This is based off the reactions I get:

5. Prohibition
4. Changing a lit cigarette into a quarter
3. Triumph

These are in no particular order and they are subject to change based on my mood and/or frequency of use. However, ALL of these are in the "never leave home without them" category:

1. The Hot Rod
2. Richard Osterlind's Torn & Restored Sweetener Packet (uses a TT; so you can insert basically ANY TT effect here).
3. Gregory Wilson's "FreaKey."
4. The Invisible Deck (or a Brainwave Deck)
5. Sankey's Holy Moly

This answer is different for everyone based on performance style and skill level.

Here are five from my regular close-up routine:

• Ashes to Arm
• Vox Box
• Ring Leader
• Haunted Key
• Fork Bending

Sponge Balls, Freakey, Hot Rod, Coin Matrix, Gemini Pouch and 3 Card Monte are also strong considerations.
