My understanding is that statehood quarters are made throughout one year then they stop minting them and start on a new state. which means 5-10 years down the road state quarters will be much less common and the gimmicked quarters that are statehood ones will be harder to not draw attention to.

This and the fact it must be hard making dozens of different molds led me to wonder why Penguin and other companies even make them?

Comments?

This is the last year they are being produced, so odds are they will become less common a long ways down the road, but that's a while away. There's so many out there, it will take a while. Did anybody else collect them? I did from the beginning, and I only have the 2008 ones left! OMG!

I hate the state quarters. It makes finding a borrowed coin that matches a gaffed coin 50x more difficult. I try to find the guy that's got a pocket full of change have him pull all of it out so I can find what I'm looking for.

I collected them all :D

I usually have a backup. If I wanna do a trick with a gaffed coin I have a trick in mind that can be done with any quarter just in case I don't get the right kind.

Every time the Mint decides to change/update coins it means that trick coin manufactuers and magicians have to make adjustments ... that sucks ! :x

I have all except for Alaska and Hawaii. I have a map with holes to put the quarters in.
