What are your favorite tricks for walk-around venues. The tricks you like to perform the most in resturaunts or bars. My personal favorite is color monte.

olmost all my card rutines... because every card trick and coin trick that's visual and can be done standing is a good resturant trick/rutine

I just grab whatever I can for walk around gigs. Hot Rod, Color Monte, 3 Card Monte, A Deck of Cards, Coins, Holy Moly (Always), a gimmick for my newest trick (Bet for Balance), and several others... All depends. Can't choose a favorite.

Just a few things I enjoy:

-Magician's Insurance Policy (gets a laugh)
-Sponge Balls or Sponge Rabbits (interactive, people love them)
-Any card routine, I like ACR, Backlash (AoA Vol. 1), and a Triumph
-Packet Tricks like NFW, Ultimate 3 Card Monte, Jumping Gemini (to get away from the usual pick a card tricks)
-A few coin routines (3 Fly, Coin Flurry, SpellBound)
-Mental Magic/Mentalism (8 Card Brainwave, Anneman/Corinda stuff)
-Levitation/Animation/PK (Haunted Key, Loops, Metal Bending)

Usually, I'll carry:

A deck of cards (or 2) plus a few duplicates for signing/tearing
Sponge Balls & Purse Frame
4 Half Dollars or English Pennies or a combination
2 Packet Tricks
Haunted Key
A few loops
Maybe rubberbands

This all easily fits in my pockets/wallet. This gets modified by my mood, however.

He wasn't being rude, he was just making the point that somebody working walk-around gigs wouldn't just grab random tricks and walk out the door. It shows no planning and a lack of professionalism. Of course, if you are just going downtown and you grab some material (just in case you have the opportunity), then we are talking about a completely different situation in which the mentioned course of action is appropriate. But a "walk-around gig" is not quite the same, since there are expectations.

Calling people names isn't very nice, either...

In no particular order, a few of my favorites are:

1. Invisible and/or Brainwave deck.
2. The Watch Crystal
3. Holy Moly
4. Richard Osterlind's "Sweeter & Lower" torn & restored sweetener packet
5. Hot Rod (and/or various other effects utilizing the same basic move; such as: The Amazing Jumping Arrow, Mark Jenest's No. 2 Pencil, Hot Rod Pen, Deluxe Money Paddle, etc.)
6. Copper/Silver transpo (without using gimmicked coins)
7. Viking Magic's Morelli Ring (it's a ring flight without the reel)
8. Michael Mode's Napkin Rose (not a trick; but a nifty yet elegant touch)

Also, though I tend to stay away from bill switches during walk-around performances; I do like to use them during live interviews/auditions to secure the gig. I'll do a bill switch from a $1 to a $50 or $100, then, as I'm handing them the bill to inspect, switch TTs. I'll take the bill to change it back, tell them I think I folded it differently this time and reveal a mis-made bill. I then let them keep that mis-made bill. Sure, it costs me $8; but it's a good way to secure the gig and I always make more than eight bucks back in payment or, if the venue permits, tips.

i realy like one of my own coin rutines called '' one way coin '' and olmost every card trick i do... things like ''triumph''(but then you should have a good story with it to!) and ''perversion'' or maby ''K-A-F'' (Kallex-Ace-finder) love the last one, one of my favorite rutines...

But one of the best card rutines i do is ''master deck'' by Marc oberon with an bang on finish only that i use a card wallet...

How did you ever learn any of those tricks. it is obvious that you have no idea of how to read and write correctly. I just ran the spell checker from Google that is free on their toolbar and about 30% to 40% of what you scribbled is misspelled.

I don't understand how your parents let you have a hobby when you obviously have poor grades.

I normally take:
-A red and blue deck of bikes
-An incomplete deck of cards for tricks that I burn the card, or rip them etc. (Sankey secret files volume 1 has a great trick that I forget)
-Some coins and a coin shell
-Spongeballs
-Sometimes sponge rabbits
-Card Sharpie
-Sometimes Tricycle
-Real Man's Wallet (set-up with Kollosal Killer and a couple other tricks)
-Sometimes invisible deck/wipe-out/david regal color changing deck

But yeah, it all depends, the stuff that I said "sometimes" before I always rotate around, but the rest I always bring.
