I've finally had a chance to view In The Beginning There Were Coins.
At least 95% of what Jay teaches is in Bobo's! Yes! He changes the names of a couple of things (ie he changes the name of "L'Homme Masque Load" to the edgy name of "The Push"...although this is one of three things on the DVD not taught in MCM) but they are right there in black and white.
My recommendation:
If you like Noblezada, then get ITBTWC. If you don't like him, then get Ammar's "Introduction to Coin Magic"
*BUT*
Get Bobo's book with either of these dvd's. Why? Pull out Bobo and go through the teaching on either of those dvd's. You'll eventually recognize which sleights are being taught and can "read" the teaching while watching them.
Eventually, you will be able to read Bobo and not need the video. I can guarantee this. Watch the video while having the book in front of you and you will eventually begin to learn how to visualize what is written. After this, you can start approaching some of the more interesting routines in MCM.
Write in the book, dog ear the pages, highlight phrases. You can't do this on a DVD. Learn to learn from the book...you will find a lot more opportunities.
