I was just wondering...i hear a lot of people talking about barber halfs that are soft... but.. Can 1964 90% silver kennedy halfs go soft? or 1945 walking liberty silver halfs go soft?

basically can silver kennedys and walknig libertys go soft?

Any coins can go soft. All soft coins are are coins that have been worn down so that the faces are smooth.

yes, i know. But wont silver coins wear down a lot better and faster than the standard quarter?

Yes, silver coins wear faster. That's why they switched to the sandwich alloy coins. You can easily find Walking Libertys and Barbers in really poor condition which makes them good for "soft" routines like 3fly. It's less likely you'll find Kennedys that bad for two reasons: One, most Kennedys are the sandwich construction. And Two, the all silver ones are considered collectible and were only around for a year or so. It's highly unlikely they stayed in circulation long enough to be worn down that badly.

thanks a lot, where is a good place to get walking liberty halfs for cheap? is there any good online stores?
