Hey, I was a kid with a vivid imagination (as most 6-7 year olds do), and I figured "If this guy can fit something that big it his mouth and pull it out from his throat, then so can I." You have to remember, kids don't think that the paper is rolled up all nicely inside a little paper tube ready to pull out. They think that it's possible to stuff paper down your throat and pull it back out again!

Kids as young as two can enjoy magic...if it is the right stuff done the right way. Visual effects involving color, transforming one thing into another, appearances, and vanishes, are good. Four year olds can take that, and more. Such kids do have a short attention span, so shorter-less complicated-tricks are best. Blue half dollars vanished from your hand, and changed into red dimes, work. Keep it short, simple, and visual. The Zombie would interest some four year olds, but probably not younger kids. Most card tricks would be too complicated for the four and younger set to follow, or enjoy. Let the trick explain itself, and forget patter for such young audiences.

You should look into making your own mouth coils. It is extremely easy to do and very cost effective. You'll be surprised how easy it is.
