Hey yall, I dont do a lot of coin work at the moment, but I would like to learn a good coins across routine.
I was wondering if you guys had any suggestions on who has a good routine. The only thing is that it needs to be done standing/with no table. Also, no expensive gimmicks. So you 3 fly guys, keep it to yourself...LOL
Shells are alright though, but ungimmicked is best.
Thanks yall.

Look for a "Flying Eagles" type of routine. Paul Green has one on his In the Trenches DVD I believe. I have no idea how good it is, but it probably is pretty good :) .

On Jay Noblezada's ITBTWC DVD, he has a coins across routine with a foreign coin and half dollars THAT KILLS!!! I do it all the time and get great reactions. Very good.

Also, 3 Fly isn't always gimmicked, just the new version are. Magicians wanted a different way of doing it, or something, so they added gimmicks. You can find routines that do not utilize gimmicks.

How about Mr. Clean coins across? It looks really good only uses three coins and no gimmicks or tables. The sleights are itermediate to advanced but if that's not a problem then I would suggest it. You'll have to pick up revolutionary coin magic to learn it though. Or "On the Spot", Greg teaches pretty much the same trick under the name 3/4 across.

Best non-gimmicked: jay sankey's "mr. clean coins across"
Best gimmicked : david roth's coins across (not sure of the name).

For other ideas, check out bobo's book "modern coin magic". There's a whole chapter dedicated to the coins across.

Yes, I like Sankey's as well. Gregory Wilson does a similar routine with quarters.

Dude I would totally agree with you on that one. The 2 best coins across tricks ever created.
Sankeys-Mr.Clean (best in my opinion)
Roth-Coins Across
(It's just called David Roths coins across btw)
And mexican Jumping coins is pretty sweet aswell. There is a better handling for it using a coin purse in 100% sankey.

Although it uses a gimmick, Lonnie Chevrie's The Journey is one of the best coins across routines there is.

Here are two versions of my improptu coins across routines uses no gaffs no extras just three coins and a spectator.
I've used the second version in the spectators hands and it works great !! The second coin across is what floors them. Anyway this is inspired by many Greg Webb, David Roth, Latta, Magic Cafe' Crew to name a few.
If you like it go to vinnymarini.com
Enjoy

I highly recomend Noblezada's Coins Across. and in Bobo's book there is a complete chapter that discusses coins across.

eeh... ´´so you 3 fly guy´s out there keep it to yourself´´!?

you know that 3 fly can be done with just one extra coin right!?

i actualy think 3 fly is the best alternative for your in this kind of situation.
