Morgan's message did seem a bit short for a heartfelt goodbye. Maybe he's not leaving afterall.

Is this because the Masked Magician will be exposing his material? Pretty hefty coincidence. I doubt he will quit for long, everyone goes through that phase usually then comes back later. Heck even I wanted to quit many times but didn't. I just took a few months off, which I now do every year to keep me motivated.

I was able to talk to Morgan last night on the phone for about 2 hours. While not all of it was about magic, the latter part was. He should be releasing something to iTricks later today or perhaps on the weekend.

Here are some of the things we talked about:

1. This is legit, he really wants everyone to know that this is no stunt and he currently has no plans on returning (but he didn't rule it out in the very distant future, never say never). He wants to make it perfectly clear that this is no stunt and he's not trying to promote anything (which is why he won't be taking interviews)

2. Molten will not be released

3. He is trying new things and is excited about his new direction. He really appreciates his fans, but his current desire is elsewhere.

4. He will be on my show next week (Scrapplesandwich.com) but won't be talking about magic at all.

I will let the rest of the information come out from iTricks, but in the 2 1/2 hour conversation I had with Morgan, I can say that this choice is for the best for him.

No idea. He had promised me a copy of Molten and Taste Conditions too, but I don't think I'll be getting either of those for now.

Morgan gave that away for free a while back. A VERY short description is - A spectator is given water to swish in his mouth. As he is swishing, the water starts to taste like mouthwash, when he spits it out - it is mouthwash.

It's a very clever idea, just not something I would perform.

I'm going through that phase right now...... from a hobby perspective.
