I saw Derren Brown perform a very complicated lottery effect not too long ago. The effect was brilliant from the mentalist point of view, but too be honest, not that memorable. Right now I can't remember all the things that happend. On the other hand, the Yes/No effect he does is much simpler, but to me, more amazing and memorable. So, my point is, the simpler something is, the more likely people will remember and talk about you. If it's too complicated, people can get confused of what happend. The point is, strive for simplicity, that's where it's at.
