Has anyone seen this Expanded Chinese coin manufactured by Johnson? Can anyone comment about the quality? I was thinking about picking one up.

And Mark, since the coins are not sold at Penguin I am allowed to post links. Just making that clear...

I can't speak for this particular item but all Johnson products are of excellent quality.

I wouldn't buy it unless it has a picture. You might be getting a shellraiser quality gimmick (I didn't think it was that bad actually. If you perform smoothly and your a good showman than you should have not problem with this. Especially if your coins are really polished and nice looking. All my halves fit in it nicely.

I went ahead and ordered this with three extra Johnson Chinese coins. I'll let you know how they are when I get them.

I got these coins today. The shell covers the whole Chinese coin, and I mean the WHOLE thing. This is because Johnson can manufacture the shell to their specifications; it's not made directly from one of their Chinese coins. The shell doesn't look too great from the back, but it doesn't look awful. They are very nice coins.
