Just wondering what the top 3 (or more) tricks you carry on you 24/7 to show those people who constantly ask to see a trick.

This isn't necessarily a packet trick but Wow by Masuda gets incredible reactions. Other's include Twisted Sisters, E.S. Perfect by Peter Nardi, NFW, and a nice little two card transpo I came up with that I'll share with you if you are interested.

I also really like WOW by Masuda, but it isn't really a packet trick or pocket trick! I carry it around in an old wooden box with my deck of Guardians and use the deck, box and sleeve in the presentation.

My favorite pocket tricks are Paralyzer (something I invented and should be released within a couple of weeks!) and I really like simple Coin Through Tables.

Ultimate Three Card Monte
NFW
Twisted Sisters and/or Entourage

Ungaffed:

Twisting the Aces/Doc Daley
Jazz Aces
Jumping Gemini
(Yes for these you technically start with a full deck, but I usually carry at least 2 around all the time anyway :) )

For carry-around coin-related illusions:
1. Holy Moly (Not coins, but washers. Great effect, though.)
2. Hopping Half (Yeah, I know it's easy; but it's visual.)
3. A Questionable Trick (From Gregory Wilson's "On The Spot" DVD. An easy-peasy copper/silver transposition of a dime and penny.)

Honorable Mention: 3/4 Across (Also from Gregory Wilson's "On The Spot" DVD. Takes a LOT of practice; but it's worth it. Uses 3 non-gimmicked and/or borrowed quarters.)

For cards:
1. Optical Wallet (By JB Magic. Yeah, it's easier than easy; but it's all in presentation and gets amazing reactions.)
2. Princess Cards (Yeah...easy again. But baffling.)
3. NFW

Honorable Mention: Invisible Deck (It isn't a "packet" trick; but it's a good one. Classic and easy to do. I usually have one close by.)

Not a coin worker, but I love cards. Here are my 3 fave packet routines:

1) Color Monte. (HUGE reactions and laughter, followed right by people grabbing the cards to check them out.)

2) NFW. (Any variations, gimmicked or clean. I've only had one person ever say the phrase, "No f****** way!" once. I lol'ed heartily.)

3) Skinners Ultimate 3 Card Monte. (Very classic, I love this routine. I put the 3 away into my pocket and packet switch them with a match set of A, 2, 3 and let them inspect it. It's a matter of timing and misdirection, but it works.)

I would have included the ACR in there too, but that's more of a full deck thing, but it somewhat qualifies. ;)

The 5 + 1 transpo off of the "money" dvd by J Noblezada.

I do "hypno aces" a David Penn packet card trick that revolves around you hypnotizing someone even tho it is a packet card trick.

I used to do "Strange travelers" by David Blaine, a packet card trick.

I also like coin thru table and 3/4 across by G Wilson

Coin-"lethal tender" a coin transpo is cool and fun to do.

Hope that helped

Ari

Im surprised nobody mentioned Queens out of Control. That and Color Monte were the first two packet tricks I bought. Queens gets some of my best reactions. Definitely check it out if you haven't seen it.

The best part is when they go to inspect the cards because it seems impossible. Only to find out each card is a different colored back.

(It even comes with a little packet to keep the cards in)

The cards to get worn out after repeated use and tend to stick. But the company (not penguin) that manufactures the product happily mailed me out replacements at no charge after an email. Received them in 2 days.

I personally hate packet card tricks because when it comes to cards I am an almost EXTREME purist. But for gaffed coins to carry around in your wallet try the Holy Trinity (Holy Moly, Holy Stretch, UnHoly) by Jay Sankey. Add a little slight of hand and you've got yourself an examinable (encase you need it) miracle with a plot I love.

And if you've got a shell just do the routines you like.

My top three are:

1. Royal Scam - recently replaced Twisted Sisters as my top reaction getter
2. Twisted Sisters
3. Color Monte

I also do three of my own packet tricks regularly. Here is my latest creation which has been getting great reactions:
