I have The Thought Transmitter by John Cornelius, http://www.penguinmagic.com/product.php?ID=381 and i love it. i'm not posting this in the trick review section because i don't have the time but this is a great trick. it needs batteries which may be hard to find though. it cannott be performed surrounded ( well you might be able to do it). you think of the spectators symbol that they wrote down or you can "transmit" a thought to them without a stooge. i would buy it if i were you. the price may seem high but think of thinking of any symbol that the specator has writtten down. it's amazing!

it's not a unique presentation how i use it. i use it as if i can read their mind. i usually don't use the card with the symbol. i let them chose whatever they want to put in the crystal ball i draw on the note pad. some times they go overboard with what they write so i have to set specific rules to how much the write

i left out that it would be hard to do this as a spiritualism mentalism in the dark because in the dark the gimmick might be obvious.

Can you answer a question about it? I would like to know about that card with all the numbers and symbols and what not. I noticed he leaves that on until the moment when I assume he catches the glimpse. Does the card have to be there or would it be pretty safe to try just not even having it?

There are plenty of different ways to do the 'dirty work'. I actually bought mine from a local dealer and it didn't even come with that card thing so...yeah....I don't use that.

This is a prop I have been using for years. I like to use a rubberband to seal the "business card holder" closed so "know one can possibly see" at that point as I wrap the rubber band around I get the "peak"
I also like to present the transmitter as a business card holder and will do a few effects just using the cards until I run out and need to use the writing pad included.
I think it's important to "condition" the spectators by using it in different ways besides a peak- i.e. record a prediction with it, or write something down that you don't want to forget- this conditions the specs that you are just using an erasable writing pad.
