Hey guys,

I've had a Half Dollar C/S/B made by Johnson for a while now. I recently upgraded to a Todd Lassen Walking Liberty C/S/B, which is a thing of beauty. I used to do the most basic routine, but I want a new one.

I have David Regal's Approaching Magic and there are two routines in there. None of them really suited me. I ordered Coin Man Walking to see what that has to offer.

Any other routines you guys know of?

I'm not one for plugging but I have a routine on the magic cafe I got Steve Brooke's permission to publish there. It is called scribling senses and I have checked with many people on there with it. Curtis Kam even said it broke free of the classic transposition effect because it uses a copper, silver, and washer with a pretty nice change as a closer.

Mark, I've seen your nice routine, but the only thing is it doesn't require a standard C/S/B gimmick. That's not a bad thing, but I got a new C/S/B gimmick and want a routine for that gimmick.

Thanks Jeff. I see what you mean lol. That was the one thing I did not want. I LOVED the effect but I HATED gimmicks and this was the most effective way to do it. I will get a video up soon. I just got some new Chinese coins.

Bob Sheets has a nice routine on his Hospitality set. Dan Watkin's routine is pretty nice, but really difficult. Cody Fisher has a few routines out that I've heard good things about.

I'm not really sure what the "most basic" routine is, but here are some of the handlings and presentations I'm aware of.

Cody Fisher has a well-polished routine on his DVD "Cody Fisher On Magic." I think his main focus was on the ringing in and ringing out of the gaffs so the coins are examinable at the beginning and end of the trick.

John Bannon has a handling in his "Smoke and Mirrors" book.

L&L put has a "World's Greatest Magic" DVD on them with contributions by David Roth, JC Wagner, Harry Allen, Scotty York, and Doc Eason.

One of the New York Coin Seminar DVD's (#2 I think) has some material on Copper/Silver/Brass and 2 Copper/1 Silver routines.

Finally, there is a nice handling on volume 2 of Bill Malone's "Here I Go Again!" set. You can see him perform this routine on the DVD demo.

Hope this gives you some ideas.

you could do Curtis Kam's routines with just a copper/silver coin.

The handling on Bill Malone's video can't be done with the CSB. It requires a Two Copper / Silver gimmick.
