I must admit I enjoy BlackOut. I have the quarter version. Should I upgrade to the half dollar version? I am new to coin magic but would like to be able to perform a few coin effects very well other than the basic clean vanish that can be used with Blackout. What coin effects besides the vanish could I practice and eventually perform using the Blackout quarter?

Edit: The main reason why I chose the quarter version is because half dollars are rarely seen in public and the quarter is less questionable. However, half dollars can be used for other coin effects. I am wondering if it is possible and feasible to use quarters instead of half dollars for coin effects where half dollars might be easier to use. Is it recommended?

I will never buy ANY coin gaff\gimmick\etc. but this looks really good.
Though I think I figured it out, do you have to wear a certain shirt to use this coin?

The old wise saying: Never say never. I think Blackout is very good and I personally would highly recommend it. My magic might not be as evolved as your own, but I suspect that even this idea is good for any magician experienced or inexperienced and can be incorporated in many coin effects. You don't have to give up your sleight of hand either and you can show non-gimmicked coins which can be examined before and after the effect, though, the idea can be used in the process of performing the effect.

That sucks big time. Maybe they will eventually come out with a Canadian version. It's an excellent idea and principle to use in you magic. I fool people all the time with the clean vanish. I am looking to perform other coin effects using this principle besides the clean vanish. I wanted to be able to perform the clean vanish very well before moving on to learning other effects.
