Well I have a bit of advice for you since you asked. My first piece of advice is to read 13 Steps to Mentalism by Corinda, you can buy it at mjm magic if this website is out of stock (and it frequently is for that book). Then, re-read 13 Steps. Next, buy PRISM by Max Maven, totally worth the money... in fact, it should cost more. From there you can back up your current knowledge with books like Practical Mental Magic; Mind, Myth and Magick; Theatre of the Mind; Sleight of Mind (if you get into NLP); Building Blocks (again NLP) and various other books. There are also a few good dvds out there that are totally worth their cost. I'm sure someone else can refresh my memory but I cannot remember the name of the most recommended series.
However, I would believe from your post that you are either: a) a young person and should possibly steer clear of mentalism for a while until you can be taken seriously or b) you are from a country in the East somewhere and not fluent with the English language yet. I'm leaning more towards the former rather than the latter so I would suggest staying in more the area of mental magic rather than mentalism because you'd be taken more seriously. Hope all this helps. Good luck on your journey.
