Hello,

What do you recommend for someone who is interested in learning balloon sculpting / twisting?

The Balloon School with Joe Montella is out of stock and has been for awhile it seems to me, so what would you suggest?

Thank you - Jason

Yeah I thought about checking that out. I emailed customer service to see when it would be back in stock and they ignored me.

This may or may not be against the rules, but if you go to your local book store. You can easily find books/supplies and kits that can teach you.

To be 100% honest Youtube is a fine place to start.
Balloons are not guarded with the same secrecy as magic so it is fine. If you are looking for real material I suggest TMyers or look up a guy named Addi Somekh, my balloon hero.

As always,
Dylan

I have not heard of Addi Somekh before. Balloons make up 50% of my business. When I searched T I only found him referenced in balloon magic. Does he have any DVDs or books out?

I believe it is okay for me to say this since it is out of print and not available on Penguin, but I looked it up on Ebay and someone has it listed for $39.99 on a Buy-It-Now. It has 3 days left.

You can buy The Inflatable Crown From Addi himself for $20 but I got mine on Amazon for $10.

It is a fantastic book that combines style with simplicity in fantastic ways. If you want to really learn who Addi is and have the time watch his documentary here. http://www.joost.com/257000j/t/Balloonhat#id=257000j

thanks for the link Dylan.

I really enjoyed watching the documentary. It was an inspiration. I only wish my balloons could take me around the world.

There are many DVD"S on the market that will help. i like them because you can stop them as you go thru each twist.

Look at youtube.com for balloon twisting and you will not have to buy any videos.
