I'm Dan Roberts and I live in Northern Ireland UK. I love mentalism but I still haven't made a complete switch to mentalism as off yet, what i mean is i still do coin and sponge balls for my audience lol, I usually don't work with cards anymore because where I live if i pull a deck of cards out, they seem to ignore me like if i am some crazy family member at a christmas party even if i do pull of some crazy flourish like stuff I learnt from trilogy, i don't know why but it just doesn't work for me there.

Anyways If you want to learn Derren Brown's stuff all you really need is Practical Mental Magic - Ted Annemann and 13 Steps of Mentalism - Tony Corinda and just jazz it up with talk about psychology and suggestion but please don't be a total Derren clone. I think we have too many David Blaine clone and Criss Angel clone, so we don't need Derren clones.

Hope I have made some since and I am sorry for going off topic a bit but I want to let you all know my background a bit. Also sorry if you can get and study Kenton Knepper Wonder words then you will be amazing mentalism. Seriously mentalism is a killer form of magic but you need to be a bit light hearted and not to afraid of smile or laughing. I think Banachek and Luke Jermay do this perfect because they are fun to watch.
