It depends on how you've constructed your routine. If you don't have a need for the Chop Cup, you might as well not have it.

They aren't poured like many cups.

I have never seen "poured cups". The majority of cups are turned on a lathe or machined on a CNC cutter. Take a look at Rings & Things II at http://www.rnt2.com/index.php
for some nice cups & balls. Turning is labor intensive and dangerous and the material (copper, brass, silver) is expensive hence the price! If you opt for aluminum you will pay less...

Sure they're pricey but they are some of the best props that money can buy IMHO!

If you want some less expensive C&Bs look at Bazaar De Magia. They are turned in aluminum, copper and brass...

Poured refers mainly to plastic cups that look like metal, such as the ones from Magic Makers.

Penguin Cups, by far. I got them a while ago to replace my aged copper ones, never looked back. Worth the money, will last years.

Okay. I was in your same exact shoes four months ago. I got the penguin cups. They are okay to learn with and are a good quality for the price. You NEED Michael Ammars dvds on the cups and balls. It has everything you need to know to construct a great routine. Eventually, you will decide you dont want the penguin cups because they have a smaller load capacity. They dont quite hold a tennis ball. I personally love the look of aged and tarnished copper. If i were you i would save the money and get an alluminum set from RNT2 they also tell you the final load capacity which is a big help. Trust me it will be worth the money to wait ang get a set from there. You will want a straight set. RNT2 doesn't sell anything that isnt good quality. Trust me it is worth it to spring for a good set, they will last forever!

I can also say that RNT2 does fantastic work. Everything they make is top notch and for the price you are getting way more then you think.

I have recently started dealing with Gary Animal and picked up a set of his love cups. I have to say that they were a great price for a set of cups that I feel will last forever. He may not have as much diversity as RNT2 has but he sure can make a fine cup.

As always,
Dylan

RNT2 Cups are amazing quality. I have 2 sets and a chop cup from them and couldn't be happier. They are worth the price.

I have a set of Brett Sherwood Copper Engraved Cups and Balls. If you want the very best(and can dish out $720.00) check out: http://www.sherwoodmagic.com/
Here are some pics of my cups...

These cups are considered by many magicians as the "Rolls Royce of C&Bs"...BTW I own 3 sets of RnT2 C&Bs and a mini Don Alan Chop Cup which I consider the "Cadillac of C&Bs".

Best regardz,
Olmagi52 :D 8)

Well it's been a while since anybodies posted on here and I saw that somebody was talking about the Johnson cups on here from a while ago.

I'm thinking about buying a set of those cups and there's some things I'd like to ask about them:

1. Do they nest together nicely?

and 2. What is the biggest thing you can fit into them?

I hope somebody can answer my question and I hope everyone's holiday was as good as mine ;)

Sincerely,

KingOfNynex2003
