Does anyone know a good, impromptu Three fly or Coins across routine? Currently I only know Mr. Clean Coins Across which I love doing.

3/4 accross from Greg Wilson's On the spot. Just grab the dvd download and check it out. He has a lot of other material on that dvd as well.

3/4 Across is essentially Mr Clean Coins Across. The only real difference in the final coin and I prefer the Sankey handling.

When you say "impromptu" are you wanting a trick that you can borrow all of the coins and use nothing extra or are you looking for something that doesn't use gaffs?

You can find some of both styles on the New York Coin Magic volume 1 DVDs. It focuses on Coins Across.

David Williamson has one in the book "Williamson's Wonders" called Cross-Eyed Coins Across. Very easy to do , and gets very good reactions.

And the most important part: it's not impromptu :|

The 3 fly I use is Chris Kenner's, it uses 4 coins.
I prefer closed hands coins across though.

Darryl's cross of India is a good closed fist version.

I'm sorry. I'm not quite following what you're saying. In this routine you show the 3 coins and proceed with the effect. There's no presets, and no get-ready involved. So that would qualify this as an impromptu effect. It is also a closed fist routine.

Thanks for all your help guys! I forgot to say that I want it to be gimmickless (i.e. shells, flippers...).

duds,
Some of these are gimmickless (If you don't consider a fourth coin to be a "gimmick")

Williamson's is non-gimmicked, AND only uses 3 coins. There is also a routine in the book where you magically produce 3 coins...one at a time. I sometimes follow this up with Cross-Eyed Coins Across, and Michael Ammar's Coins Through Silk. I then vanish the coins in the same way I produced them. The book Williamson's Wonders is back in print. Tons of great material.....highly recommended.

I know. I don't mind using a fourth coin.

I have heard so much about this book. I WILL get it sometime soon. :)

It uses an extra, secret coin.

I hate to disagree with you, daniel 116, but it doesn't. Only 3 coins are used. I have the book (first edition), and have been doing the effect ever since.

Respectfully,
Brian
