What is this all about?
To encourage people to practice and perform more for live spectators, Penguin Magic is trying something new. After purchasing magic from the shop, you can submit a video performance; NOT just a bad performance for the camera in your bedroom, you actually have to be performing for someone. If your video meets the deadline and all other requirements, you will be refunded in Penguin dollars to spend on anything in the shop. This can only be used on items purchased on or after January 15th.

When is the deadline?
There is a time limit, but Penguin also wants to encourage you to practice your effects before performing them. Your video is only eligible after 30 and before 60 days of completing your order.

Can I get my refund in actual money?
No. Just store credit.

Is there an age limit?
Of course there is. You have to be at least 16 years old.

What if my mom owns the account? What if I have parental supervision? What if I beg you? PLEASE?!?!?
No.

Why?
Because life sucks like that I guess. It's not so much Penguin's decision, just legal issues.

What if I buy a DVD with multiple effects?
Then simply perform your favorite effect from that DVD or book.

Is there a price limit?
This is only allowed for items up to $100.

Can I be performing for family and friends?
Although not currently a requirement, it's strongly recommended that you try gaining some experience performing in the real world.

One quick clarification- In the case that you get the Choose 5 (download or DVD) these would be treated like separate products even though they were in a COMBO. So a SET is different than a COMBO.

This is an awesome idea, I cant wait!

I've been working on a routine with a blank deck. I had been using about 30 cards from a blank deck because the others had been destroyed. The effect I thought was good, but without the full deck it didn't "look" quite as good.

I got a full blank deck in the mail yesterday and put it to the routine and instantly was satisfied with it.

I think I might actually try to work up the courage to go and perform this for some random people. I normally perform for friends and family, and getting free stuff isn't that big of a deal to me...but I have been wanting to get better at performing for random people, so maybe this is finally the right time to start.

Okay another question.

Say I go out and perform mojoe which is 60 dollars. I get the thumbs up and get a 60 dollar gift certificate for penguin. Can I get something with the gift certificate "Pointless" (40 dollars) and perform pointless and get my money back for pointless?

I sent a question regarding something completely different than this promotion to the e-mail address provided because that e-mail address is ALSO provided for a DIFFERENT promotion. Acar is regularly checking this thread, so I figured I might as well post a message in here to ask something about how often that e-mail gets checked...and obviously it worked, as I got a response in my e-mail and in this thread within a few hours...as opposed to the several days I had already waited.

So, what am I doing "again???" Oh, right...I'm not doing anything again.
