Yeah I just watched it (while looking for that trick you mentioned, couldn't find it but I did watch the guillotine and the lightbulb ones).

Oh I wish I knew.
I don't have much knowledge in the fire category.
Though I did see a video of a tiny gag.
Its like a windup that shoots sparks, but not the way NPH does.
I can look around because i know I've stumbled across it before.

I think the kid on the video is the closest to what NPH does, although he overfilled his flash unit a bit. The website he mentions on his video would be the best place to look for this. Don't believe what he says about "perfectly safe indoors." Theatre Effects doesn't suggest using this over carpeting as it will burn holes.
