Well, I would recommend The Royal Road to Card Magic to start out with. But, if you don't like books for some reason, you might want to try Born to Perform Card Magic with Oz Pearlmen. Once you are more in the intermediate stage of magic you should try Card Stunts or Pyrotechnic Pasteboards. You may also want to read my post above yours. Hope these help.

I think every beggining magician should have a copy of Mark Wilson's Complete Course in Magic. At $19.99 it's a real value.

If you like cards get Royal Road to card magic. And Born to Perform Card magic with Oz Pearlman. After that i highly recommend Michael Ammar's Easy to master Card Miracles series. There is just a LOT of good magic in there. Buy them in order.

I dont want to take anything away from magic shops, God knows I buy alot from Penguin magic as well as MJM magic. Still the best one is Penguin magic. Anyways you can get alot of cool magic even cheeper sometimes on ebay. I should know I sell alot of magic on ebay like D.V.D's when I get all I need from them.
Thanks.
Lance.

Everybody is right. Get effects that would improve your show. Me, I get 2 of everything. Like last week the one kid i was performing for Ripped my Magic coloring book but,I had a second one to back me up. Remember dont share plans or give away magic tricks.

Thanks
