When doing card tricks for a few friends sometimes they will purposely say "that's not my card" (even though they and I know it is). How would you handle this situation. Thanks, Drew

If you know it is, and only if you know it is, just stare at them. Don't say anything. The awkward silence will break them. I know this sounds like a joke but it really will work.

It's based off a sales technique. If you provide silence either you or they will have to break it, and by making them break it you're in control. This means they'll quite trying to mess you up.

If you are performing for a group of spectators, make sure they show their card around to everyone (except you, of course!).
